Waiting zone survey

03 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
PARTY-goers now have a chance to have their say on the City Heart waiting zone.

The late-night taxi rank supervised area was opened in July to help night club patrons wait for a taxi in a safe environment.

Mildura Rural City Council started an evaluation of the zone in early October and is seeking feedback from the general public as well as stakeholders.

Councillor Fiona Hilton-Wood said the only way to improve the waiting zone was to get actual feedback.

“We’re basically doing the evaluation to see if we’re heading in the right direction or whether we need to move in an entirely different direction,” Cr Hilton-Wood said.

“We’re trying to engage responses from anyðone and everyone who has used it.

“So far the information I’ve received is it’s going rather well and people are generally pretty happy with it, but we don’t know if we’ve just copped the right people at the right time so we’re trying do this survey where anyone can get on board.”
