While Mr Parker-Jones lives and works in Melbourne, Sunraysia is close to his heart.

“I was born at Mildura Base Hospital, went to the Mildura High School and studied photography at TAFE,” he said.

Mr Parker said many of his friends and family in Mildura would be watching the series.

“I’ve had so many different experiences on the show,” he said.

“It all started off on a quiet day at work when I saw an ad on Channel 10 looking for keen amateur cooks.

“I fancy myself in the kitchen and I’ve been working with food as a photographer for 14 years.
