MILDURA Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a potentially deadly incident near Sunnycliffs on Monday afternoon.
A pellet from an air rifle was fired into the windscreen of a car travelling on the Calder Highway towards Mildura.
The pellet did not penetrate the windscreen, and the two people in the car were shaken but unhurt, according to Detective Senior Constable Paul Hollingworth of the Mildura Criminal Investigation Unit.
Sen-Constable Hollingworth said the victims’ car was approaching Irymple, in the vicinity of the Belar Avenue intersection, about 100 metres from the Mildura Animal Shelter, when a white Ford Falcon approached from the opposite direction, heading towards Red Cliffs.
