Change will cool record chances

16 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
AFTER a week of soaring temperatures Mildura would reach a new heatwave record if tomorrow’s cool change were to evaporate.

For the past seven days Sunraysia has sweltered through 35 degree- plus temperatures, with more than three days spilling over the 40 degrees mark.

The heat has seen hundreds pour into pools across Sunraysia, while others have escaped the heat in the shaded surrounds of the river at Apex Park.

Last week, the Mildura Bureau of Metrology said November had never experienced three consecutive days over 40 degrees.
