THE tennis stars are well rested and confident they can snatch the Fed Cup tie this weekend.

Both the Swiss and Australian players were yesterday gearing up for some tough competition at Mildura Lawn Tennis Club courts.

All week, players have been testing their abilities on grass and familiarising themselves with the surface in anticipation of the upcoming matches.

Although the preferences of the tennis stars all differed, all agreed Mildura’s courts were in tip top condition.

Australia’s Rennae Stubbs praised the neatly manicured lawns.

“All of us commented on how great the courts are and how even all the bounces are and how flat the court is,” she said.

“There’s not a lot of undulation which is important. These are classic grass courts.”

The Mildura sun shone down on the players as they warmed up on the courts yesterday.
