Cutting red tape

15 Aug, 2009 05:00 AM
LOWER Murray Water and EPA Victoria yesterday launched a world-leading corporate licence to cut red tape for higher savings and greater environment sustainability.

The new Lower Murray Water (LMW) corporate licence amalgamates 10 EPA licences for 10 sewage treatment plants into one, and also reduces the amount of licensing documentation from 90 to eight pages.

Wayne Robins, EPA client services director, said the new licence maintained the rigour of EPA’s licensing requirements and also allowed LMW to increase focus on long-term initiatives designed to reduce overall environmental impact.
