20 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
TOMORROW’S cool change will bring Mildura a five-day break from 35 degree-plus temperature.

After yesterday’s 41.1 degree scorcher, today’s forecast is for 39, but developing rain and heavy showers will bring a cool change as the temperature drops to 26 tomorrow and 25 on Sunday.

Monday will be 24 degrees and 26 is forecast for Tuesday.

It will start heating up again on Wednesday with 30 degrees and Thursday should hit 35.

Mark Wilgar, at Mildura’s Bureau of Meteorology, said yesterday was a scorcher and had set two November heat records.

“It’s been an extraordinary month, there’s no doubt about it,” Mr Wilgar said.

“It’s passed through 40 degrees at 2.06pm, so it’s above 40 for the sixth time this month, which will be a November record.
