While some events have been cancelled, such as the Soundshell official launch and numerous competition sports, there will still be plenty to do for those braving the heat or looking to cool down.

Today is forecast to reach 40 degrees, while tomorrow will be 41 and Monday will be partly cloudy at 37.

Tuesday’s cool change of 33 degrees will be short lived with the mercury rising to 39 on Wednesday.

Thursday will be 42 degree, but Friday will be cooler with an expected top of 34.

Merbein Pool manager Bruce Gill said he hoped it was hot enough that people wanted to cool down at the new facility’s launch tomorrow.
