Learning to be a lady

06 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
A SUNRAYSIA teenager’s manners, personality and appearance is being critiqued by thousands of Australians.

Kaila Edwards, a 19-year-old from Buronga, has undergone a crash course in etiquette, thanks to Channel Nine’s Aussie Ladette to Lady.

Kaila, a self-proclaimed tomboy, is a contestant on the reality TV series, airing on Tuesday nights at 9.30pm.

Under strict instruction from Hereford Hall’s deportment teacher Lady Devonport, cooking expert Rosemary Shrager and headmistresses Gill Harbord, Kaila is learning to be a lady at the English finishing school.

While the fourth episode of Aussie Ladette to Lady will air on Tuesday, the program was filmed months ago.

Kaila, who was at her Buronga home yesterday, said she returned to Australia in June.
