Many messages

in those bottles

Other “sensational events” have pushed the Sri Lanka asylum seeker issue away from the headlines.

Most likely reason is that Australian national newspapers have finally realised that they were taken for a ride by Tamil terrorist fronts using bogus asylum seekers.

But some TV channels have taken over this farcical situation where they communicate with asylum seekers via “messages in bottles”.

This can still be considered as a blessing in disguise or else the media hype would go to the lengths of abusing the generosity of the unsuspecting Australians.

As happened many times in the past, funds would be collected in the disguise of helping “the displaced Tamils in Sri Lanka” that eventually get syphoned off to the terrorists.

Hopefully, this would also help avoid situations of discussions and assumptions where every Sri Lankan in the community is been looked down as an “asylum seeker”.

Australia seems to have laws and tough actions for everything where one can easily be committing an offence while simply getting along with their day-to-day business.

Perhaps, Australia is also being selective as to which ethnic community they want to target with these tough laws?

With all the laws and tough talk it looks as if the Australian Government does not have the courage to punish the Australian-based organisers of these bogus asylum seekers, instead of diverting public attention to Indonesia.
