Moncur out

ROBINVALE coach Troy Moncur will miss this year’s final series after dislocating his ankle in a sickening collision on Saturday.

It was feared Moncur had broken his leg in the incident but doctors at Mildura Base Hospital confirmed it was dislocated and Moncur will undergo surgery to reattach ligaments to this week.

Moncur said he feared the worst immediately after the collision.

“I looked down and saw the bone sticking out and thought it had snapped, I thought I was in trouble,” Moncur said.

“They thought it was a compound fracture but I got to hospital and they said it was just a bone in my ankle that had slipped out and was pushing out against the skin so it’s not as bad as they thought.
