Motor show shines

21 Sep, 2009 05:00 AM
SUNGLASSES were a must for the thousands of enthusiasts and the curious who attended to the Sunassist-Sunraysia Daily Motor Show yesterday.

Highly polished hot rods, vintage and classic cars, as well as some of the more exotic, gleamed in the sunshine at the Mildura Senior College oval.

The Mildura Lions Club was on hand with sauce and sausages and the Great Australian Ice Creamery helped cool down fans.

The family-event had face painting and a giant jumping castle for the kids.

Sunassit-Sunraysia Daily Motor Show coordinator Gayle Danson said they were thrilled with the boost in the number of entries this year.

“The day was fabulous, fantastic crowds and great support from the community as usual,” she said.

“It was a resounding success.”

“This year there was also a huge contingent of motorbikes from the Ulysses Club and plenty of Harley Davidsons,” she said.
