Show safe

STRONG patronage at the Mildura Show has ensured that next year’s event will return with all its regular features.

After a $20,000 loss in takings last year, pressure was on to pull in the crowds at the three-day event. But the show delivered.

Although patronage was slow on Thursday and Friday, show society secretary David McMillan said features including the Toyota Hilux Heroes, the racing pigs, show polo and the ever popular fireworks drew in the crowds on Saturday.

More than 45,000 people flooded through the gates over the three days, which Mr McMillan said was a vast improvement on last year.
