The fatal accident occurred at 11.50am on Underbool South Road, an hour south of Mildura.

The 73-year-old driver was the vehicle’s only occupant and died at the scene.

Police believe the car was being driven in a northerly direction when it ran off the Underbool road and struck a tree.
