COUNTRY guys and girls will flock to the Pooncarie B‘n’S Ball for the first spooky celebration in almost a decade.
More than 300 bachelors and spinsters are expected to converge on Pooncarie this weekend, dressed in their most frightening costumes for the Goat Gougers B‘n’S Ball.
Goat Gougers coordinator Whitney McShane said the three-day Halloween-themed event had been resurrected after a 10-year dry spell.
With a Wet T-shirt competition, Iron Gut dare and Polly-Waffle challenge among the more devilish games to be held, Ms McShane said the recent addition of the event’s activities was likely to prove a hit.
“With the Iron Gut competition, you have to skull a hot beer, eat a dry weetbix and spin around with a broom and run about 20 metres and then try and pop a balloon,” she said.
