BE prepared for a wild night of carnivalesque music, when the most exciting new gypsy band in the country, The Woohoo Revue, from Melbourne, play in Mildura as part of their CD launch tour on Thursday, April 16 at the Sandbar.

As a name, ‘The Woohoo Revue’ conjures up images of hollering and celebration with a theatrical theme, which is a highly accurate representation of this six-piece band.

Their fiery arrangements of traditional Eastern European tunes combine virtuoso musicianship with a sense of romance and bravado.

Melodies spiral between the violin, saxophone and trumpet. Dance inspiring rhythms flow from the drums, bass and guitar.

The shows are part of a nationwide launch of the new CD, Dear Animals, which has taken the band throughout Victoria, NSW, the ACT, Tasmania and SA.

Their debut album Dear Animals has been received strongly and has attracted airplay on Triple J, ABC and community radio stations across the country.
