The Tigers have played in the last three grand finals, but were outplayed by the enthusiastic young Demons in the 48-43 loss.

Irymple led for most of the game and carried a four-point lead into the final break.

An outstanding last quarter from Ward Dickeson and Ethan Zoch propelled Demons to overtake Irymple and push past them, playing good lead protection to finish five points ahead at the final bell.

Although Irymple had been well served by Sammy Pillegi and Nigel Pavilach in the first three quarters, they were held to two points each in the last quarter as the game slipped away from them.

Ben Gange and Todd Hodkinson also put in excellent performances for the Dees.

Hawks got over the line against Wildcats 64-51 in what was a see-sawing battle between the two sides.
