With two meetings remaining in the 2008-09 season, only two points separates the current top 12 contenders.

Four of those gallopers will have the opportunity to further stake their claim on the award, being among the acceptances for Monday.

They include the current leader Diamond Jed and the Mildura trained Narrator.

A winner at the Mildura club’s most recent meeting last month, Diamond Jed heads the leaders’ board with six points, courtesy of two wins.

The Kyneton trained four- year-old will be among the leading chances in the 1400m 0-68m handicap.

To be ridden by Terry Barry, Diamond Jed already boasts a 1400m win at Sandilong Park, having been victorious back in May.
