DESPITE some promising signs it was a disappointing weekend for the Mildura Heat as both the men’s and women’s team lost double headers away from home.
The Lady Heat took on the Latrobe City Energy looking for their first win of the season, but the Energy were on fire and secured the win at home.
In the opening match the Heat battled well in the first half and trailed by just four points at half time.
But Latrobe City stepped their game up a notch after the break and rattled off 53 points for the half to win 93-68.
Elise Strachan was named MVP for the match, scoring an outstanding 30 points.
Despite the losses Strachan had a good weekend, also winning the MVP award in the second game against the Energy on Sunday.
