KOORLONG trainer Frank Cavallaro continued his recent top run of success after recording a winning double with Penequity and Up To Date at the Mildura Harness Racing meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
Up To Date is a newcomer to the Cavallaro stable and the eight-year-old opened up his winning account at start number 28 in the Fishers Supermarkets Pace.
Up To Date is owned by Broken Hill trainer Tony Camilleri and was sent down to the Cavallaro stable as the Broken Hill harness meetings are in recess.
“They only paid about $500 for him and they were over the moon after the win,’’ Cavallaro said.
‘‘It is very satisfying to win a race for them as it gave them so much excitement.
Cavallaro continued his winning run with the improving five-year-old Penequity, who recorded a fast finishing victory in the Tankard Dental Pace.
Penequity has found her best form since coming from the Wayne Aylett stable at Shepparton in March.
She has won five races from 13 outings for the local stable, including winning all of her past three outings at the Mildura circuit.
