MILDURA Superbike rider Josh Waters is hoping his old dirt bike might just be his secret weapon in the race for the Australian Superbike Championship.
Waters is second in the title race with just one round remaining at Phillip Island later this month.
The 22-year-old is at home in Mildura after his success at the Island a fortnight ago and is using his dirt bike to keep in top condition ahead of the final round.
“I try to stay on the dirt bike as much as I can, at least two times a week,” Waters said.
“With the road bikes it’s quite hard because we never get to test or practice between races so it’s hard to keep your physical fitness up.
