NOMINATIONS for the Northern Mallee Sports Hall of Fame inductee are open.
The hall of fame, which is an initiative of the Mallee Sports Assembly, acknowledges the immense contributions of individuals to sport in the Northern Mallee region.
Twelve people have been inducted, which pays tribute to local people who have reached an elite level of achievement in their sport.
The hall of fame recognises the contributions of individuals who have achieved high distinction as players, but awardees can also be outstanding and long-serving coaches, administrators or umpires.
Previous inductees include former Richmond footballers Dale Weightman and Mark Lee, current Bangladeshi cricket coach Jamie Siddons and speedway legend Phil Crump.
