The Blues are flying high on top of the ladder after two rounds, having already beaten both of last season’s grand finalists in their first two matches.

They managed only two wins for the 2008-09 season, but their form over the past month has proved they will no longer be the easybeats of the competition.

But this afternoon they will come up against a Mildura West side which has also looked impressive as it tries to improve on last season’s disappointing finals fade-out.

West had a comfortable win first-up against Mildura East and its young players did the business with the bat last week to take the points against Workers-Gol Gol.
