WITH just two rounds remaining in the Millewa Football League home and away season, the battle for the last remaining finals spot is still on with both Meringur and Nangiloc determined to have their shot at September glory.
The Roos moved a game ahead of the Demons with their upset win over Gol Gol last week, and a win over Cardross could see them seal their place in the top four.
But in the back of their minds will be their last encounter with the Lions, in a game that saw Cardross record their first win for the year in a stirring performance.
But the tables have turned in recent weeks, with Meringur playing some superb footy in the run to the finals, while Cardross are down on confidence and searching for pride to end the year on a good note.
The Roos seem to be gathering a nice head of steam heading into the finals, and should take the victory at Cardross Reserve.
