Wentworth were rewarded with clear second spot on the SFNL ladder for their convincing 22 point victory over their main challenger Robinvale on Saturday.
The margin probably flattered the Eagles as it had not been for the effort of coach Troy Moncur at full forward kicking 10 goals, the winning margin would have been greater in the Roos favour.
The Roos after a sluggish first quarter really kicked into gear with six goal second quarter, after trailing Robinvale by 12 points at the first change.
They took control through the midfield and bombarded their forward line which with a depth of scoring options capitilised.
The driving force of the majority of Wentworth’s scoring efforts was their number one ruckman Justin Clay, who took on all comers with his intelligent use of his body to give his smaller team mates the important first use of the ball from the stoppages.
