BIG margins were all the rage again in the SFNL Under 18s at the weekend with the top sides already looking to break away from the rest of the competition.
At Merbein, the home side suffered a huge hammering, losing by a staggering 182 points, 1.0-6 to 28.20-188.
Imps were just too strong through the middle, and they didn’t take the foot off the gas.
Once again, an undermanned Merbein took the field and however much they tried, they just couldn’t break free of the iron grip Imps had on them.
Riley Hogan had a field day, booting nine goals, while Clay Kerr chipped in with four.
Jack Spangenberg kicked Merbein’s only major.
Hogan and Shea Bateman were named among the best on field for Imps in a match that has secured their spot as one of the premier sides in the competition.
