Losses last week and wins to finals rivals Red Cliffs and South Mildura, have put both teams in the hot seat, albeit Mildura in a slightly better position with two more wins on the board.

Since an inspired come from behind win against Robinvale a couple of weeks ago, little has gone right for the Demons.

A heavy loss to Imperials, and then the Doggies, who just seem to have the Demon’s measure in recent encounters, has put the heat on the Demons.

The challenge seems that Mildura’s very best and worst performances are poles apart and treasured consistency remains as elusive as ever.

A spate of mid-season injuries has not helped but the shining light is the blooding of more than a dozen youngsters. The team’s inconsistency is the product of a long season taking its toll on younger bodies.
